Bienvenue!

Hello, and welcome to our humble little blog. We will be writing in it sooner than you can eat a cupcake.

We created this blog because we want to share our ideas and passion for food with each other and with you. We really love food. All kinds of food. So this blog won't just be dedicated to sweets, even though we technically are in the pastry side of the business (although Joy did specialize in Culinary, not Pastry, while in school). That's why we named our blog Truffles and Toffee, which stems from the balance of both the savory and the sweet. Truffles, of course, are the earthy, highly valuable fungi found underground, while toffee is a sweet confection made from caramelized sugar.

So you can expect to find lots of recipes in this blog, as well as pictures, reviews, information on wine and tea, party ideas, cocktails and oh so much more. And you won't be limited to one side of the country either, as Joy will cover all the East Side and Big Apple have to offer, and I will take care of the West and Sunny California.
